My name is Dan. In November 2019 I met a dog named Cosmos. We haven't spent a day apart since.
We've driven across the country together. Traveled through magical places. Figured things out side by side. Cosmos is goofy, intelligent, warm, crazy and one of the most loving beings I've ever known.
That's the thing about dogs. Every single one of them is a unique light that deserves to shine. A life that deserves to be full.
Dogs give us unconditional, pure, never-ending love. No matter what kind of day you had, no matter who you are or what you've done, a dog will love you with every ounce of fur and slobber that makes up their lovable being.
When I see a dog in distress, when I see one sitting in a shelter waiting, watching, hoping- it shatters me. That animal is capable of so much love and somewhere along the way we let them down.
